illustrate my own - Known Bible Heroes - Jonah, Elijah, & Joseph

The Bible is filled with true accounts of real people - when we learn about them, and the things which happened to and with them, we are better able to see how God works in our lives - just as He worked in their lives. This is certainly true with Jonah, Elijah, and Joseph!

Jonah knew something very, very important. Jonah he was not able to swim to safety . . . Jonah knew there was something big in the water with him . . . and, oh yes, Jonah knew God noticed when he ran away and didn’t obey!

As you learn about Jonah in this “
Illustrate My Own – Known Bible Hero” book, you will remember the important lesson he had to teach us all about how we can obey God, ask for forgiveness, and love all others . . . red, yellow, brown, black and white!

Elijah knew something very, very important. It was also pretty scary. Elijah knew he had to obey and trust God . . . even when he was outnumbered practically a kazillion to one . . . well, it was more like one evil king, all his soldiers, all the people of the land and 450 prophets of the pretend god, Baal against Elijah . . . yeah, practically a kazillion to one!!!

As you learn about Elijah in this “
Illustrate My Own – Known Bible Hero” book, you will remember the important lesson he had to teach us all about how our God Is the One Real God and we can trust Him, no matter what!

Joseph knew something very, very important. He knew he had to trust God . . . even when his brothers threw him in a pit, sold him as a slave, and he ended up in an Egyptian prison . . . oh yes, and even when he chose to forgive his brothers when he could have taken revenge on them!

As you learn about Joseph in this “
Illustrate My Own – Known Bible Hero” book, you will remember the important lesson he had to teach us all about how we can trust God and forgive others . . . even if bad things happen to us and the others don’t “deserve” to be forgiven!

With these books, you will be able to show your creativity and provide the illustrations making them truly your own! It does not matter if you are only able to draw stick people (and seriously, a book with stick people could be a fantastic book!) - the point is the value in in the conversations these books will generate! And, stick people, or more detailed illustrations, these books will be a treasure to enjoy as you and/or the children you love put the time into illustrating them!

So, artist or not, get these books, illustrate them, and treasure the conversations - and most importantly the learning - which will happen as you do!
